Score another win for the Second Amendment.
Legendary NASCAR driver-turned team owner Richard Childress defended his home and wife against three masked intruders on Sunday, chasing them away with gunfire.
Childress and his wife were at their home in North Carolina when their security system alerted them about the intruders, WCNC reports. The three individuals broke a window beside a door knob on the lower level of the house.
According to authorities, Childress armed himself and fired at the three suspects. Sheriff David Grice said there was no sign the intruders were injured.
The Sheriff explained Childress had the right to defend himself in the situation under the state’s “Castle Doctrine” law.
The NASCAR icon told Grice “the only reason he and his wife were here today was because of God and the Second Amendment.”
Childress said he is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the intruders.
Liberals may hate to admit it, but the Second Amendment saves lives.
