When it comes to President Donald Trump, liberals apparently see collusion at every turn.
U.S. Rep. Jim Himes, D-Conn., was asked Friday by CNN’s Wolf Blitzer if recent reports that call into question the FBI’s integrity are a “coordinated” effort between President Donald Trump and “some on Fox News and others in the right-wing media?”
This coming from the network that all but dedicates its entire coverage to destroying the president… and Himes firmly believes there’s “no question” that Trump directs the coverage on some Fox News shows.
“Whether there is a hotline between the Oval Office and Fox News, I doubt that’s true,” he told Blitzer, “but when the president is talking about the investigation and makes it very clear he wants them over and uses the words, ‘Do something,’ people who will sell their souls, who will trade their integrity, who will betray their positions of trust in favor of supporting this man — why you choose to do that I do not know — will do precisely that.”
The Democratic lawmaker proceeded to name names.
“People like Sean Hannity,” he said, “who are throwing mud on the FBI, Jeanine Pirro, some of my colleagues.”

“Can you imagine if Barack Obama had attacked the FBI, the protests in the streets we would have seen, the indictments, the investigations?” he said.
Himes defended the FBI amid recent reports of star-crossed lovers at the bureau who supported Hillary Clinton while denouncing Trump, participated in the Clinton email server probe AND the Mueller investigation of alleged Russian collusion by Trump campaign officials.
And reports of recently demoted associate Deputy Attorney General Bruce Ohr holding undisclosed meetings with officials from Fusion GPS, the private research firm behind the fake Russian dossier that just happened to have employed Ohr’s wife.
“The FBI has a storied history,” Himes said. “They haven’t always done exactly the right thing.”
Never mind that when it comes to justice, you damn well expect the FBI to do “exactly the right thing.”
Taking what’s beginning to look like a miscarriage of justice and flipping it on its head, Himes accused the right of undermining justice.
“When you’re attacking the mechanism of justice of the United States of America, you are setting this country up for a place where no facts are true or false,” he exclaimed. “Anybody can get away with any behavior at all and we will have something that does not look in any way, shape or form like the democracy that has been such a gift to all of us for a long period of time.”
