Pamela Anderson seeks a favor from Mike Pence, reportedly uses her womanly wiles to try and get it

American politics has never been wilder.

Legendary sex symbol and actress Pamela Anderson was in New York working on a PSA at Manhattan’s JW Marriott Essex House when she got word of another renowned visitor in the building: Vice President Mike Pence.

Sources told Page Six that Anderson “marched straight up to the Secret Service and asked to see Pence.” The reason? To negotiate a pardon for her boyfriend, WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange.

Anderson leads an unlikely relationship with Assange and has claimed to visit him every two weeks in his room at London’s Ecuadorian embassy, where he stays in order to avoid extradition. The former Playboy Playmate and Baywatch actress has a penchant for “bad boys,” and Anderson often made news with ex-husbands and hard rockers, Tommy Lee and Kid Rock.

A witness to the most recent newsmaking scene said Anderson attempted to use her feminine wiles to get past Secret Service:

“The Secret Service agent practically swooned and fainted when she walked up to him and started pressing her finger on his badge. Pam said, ‘I’d like to meet the vice president.'”

Despite the attempt at persuasion, the Secret Service agent remained firm. “The agent did get it together enough to politely refuse, saying the vice president was busy.”

Anderson herself commented on the intended visit, saying she wanted to thank the Vice President for his work on a proposed “federal shield law” while serving as a Congressman several years ago.

She mentioned the pardon–though did not confirm or deny the story about her attempt to win over the Secret Service agent.

“I wanted to thank [Pence] for supporting protection of sources for journalists,” Anderson said. “He is heralded for co-sponsoring proposals for a ‘federal shield law,’ which I deeply admire. This action would have allowed journalists to keep confidential sources secret — even if the government requested them.”

The actress and model went on to discuss the issue of a pardon for Assange.

“I really wanted to mention this — it is a topic close to my heart. Julian Assange deserves a pardon, and I thought I might be able to help. Julian is a hero to most of the world’s youth and free-minded thinking people. America needs to be on the right side of history.”

Anderson has previously said of the WikiLeaks founder:

“I think he’s quite sexy. He has tremendous strength and stamina — though vulnerable. Hard to imagine him that way — as capable as he is. But, he is up against the biggest super powers in the world.”

Mike Pence famously has a personal rule about not dining alone or meeting alone with women. In this age–and with activists like Pamela Anderson, that decision seems like a wise one.
