President Trump is on a roll.
The Commander-in-Chief continued his trademark use of Twitter late Wednesday and early Thursday, shifting the national conversation away from the flurry of sex scandals wracking the nation–and toward policies aimed at improving the country.
Economy growing! Excluding hurricane effects, CEA estimates that real GDP growth would have been 3.9% in Q3.
Stock market at a new high, unemployment at a low. We are winning and TAX CUTS will shift our economy into high gear! pic.twitter.com/HrKIF72VqE

The President gave particular attention to the tax plan currently being debated in the Senate.
A vote to CUT TAXES is a vote to PUT AMERICA FIRST. It is time to take care of OUR WORKERS, to protect OUR COMMUNITIES, and to REBUILD OUR GREAT COUNTRY! https://t.co/wW3QNxcCHf pic.twitter.com/sRL2yRK6k2

President Trump is selling the tax plan as a historic tax cut that will lead to a boom in prosperity for all Americans–especially the working class.
He drove that message home in an inspirational video posted to Twitter Wednesday evening.

President Trump also used Twitter to tout his own record on the economy.
Stock Market hits new Record High. Confidence and enthusiasm abound. More great numbers coming out!

Engaging in battles with liberal-controlled institutions has become a Trump trademark, which the President fulfilled by taking aim at both the New York Times and Democrat detractors of the GOP tax bill.
The Failing @nytimes, the pipe organ for the Democrat Party, has become a virtual lobbyist for them with regard to our massive Tax Cut Bill. They are wrong so often that now I know we have a winner!

Funny to hear the Democrats talking about the National Debt when President Obama doubled it in only 8 years!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 30, 2017
But overall, President Trump used his social media time to talk policy.
The only people who don’t like the Tax Cut Bill are the people that don’t understand it or the Obstructionist Democrats that know how really good it is and do not want the credit and success to go to the Republicans!

This comes after the President penned tweets rebuking the media for the sudden rush of sexual allegations.
Wow, Matt Lauer was just fired from NBC for “inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace.” But when will the top executives at NBC & Comcast be fired for putting out so much Fake News. Check out Andy Lack’s past!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 29, 2017
So now that Matt Lauer is gone when will the Fake News practitioners at NBC be terminating the contract of Phil Griffin? And will they terminate low ratings Joe Scarborough based on the “unsolved mystery” that took place in Florida years ago? Investigate!

Prior to that, the President also retweeted three videos that allegedly depicted crimes committed by Muslim extremists.

Liberals complained about the early-morning tweets, but they were well-received by his base.
President Trump, who has proven himself adept at the art of persuasion, uses tweets like the Joe Scarborough jab and the Muslim videos to strengthen the emotional connection he has with his core supporters–showing them he stands with them on culture war issues.
Following those tweets up with the videos about his plans to rebuild America show the “contrast principle” in action. President Trump contrasts the negativity of the left’s misdeeds with his positive “America First” message.

President Trump is beloved by his supporters for being a political outsider who doesn’t follow the typical rules of engagement. Even when his tactics have seemed questionable, the President has repeatedly shown he has a method to the madness.
