The first charges have been filed in special counsel Mueller’s Russia investigation

The first charges have been filed in the investigation headed by special counsel Robert Mueller.

A federal grand jury approved the charges on Friday but they remain under seal on the orders of a federal judge, CNN reported.

Speculation has run rampant on news networks an social media as to what the charges are and whom they are against, with reports that someone could be taken into custody early as Monday.

Top attorneys for Mueller’s team were seen entering the courtroom where the grand jury meets on Friday, and a lot of activity was witnessed by reporters on the scene, but no announcements were made, according to CNN.

Names bandied about have ranged from President Donald Trump himself or Hillary Clinton, but many have speculated that it could be the president’s former campaign manager Paul Manafort or former National Security Advisor Gen. Michael Flynn.

Manafort’s attorney, Richard Hibey, told Fox News that neither he, nor his client, have been made aware of any pending charges.

But that did not stop social media from hypothesizing on who charges could be coming against.

America will find out soon enough.
