Obama slams Trump for ‘dividing’ Americans, then drops one of his greatest knee-slappers of all-time

Self-awareness is not a strong suit of former President Barack Obama.

During what was a busy Thursday for the 44th president, he appeared at a campaign rally in Richmond, Virginia for the state’s Democrat gubernatorial candidate Ralph Northam and made one of the most clueless statements of his career.

“If you have to win a campaign by dividing people, you’re not going to be able to govern them. You won’t be able to unite them later,” he told the crowd.

The most astounding part is that the former president was able to keep a straight face when he said it.

The incredible statement came during the same talking points tour in which Obama accused President Donald Trump of using “politics of division.”

DailyWire Editor-in-Chief Ben Shapiro was quick to set him straight.

And he was not alone.
