Police have apprehended the thug who was caught on video assaulting a 62-year-old man at a Carolina Panthers game on Thursday.
Kyle Adam Maraghy was caught and charged with simple assault, after the Panthers organization identified the suspect and helped police locate the man, the New York Post reported.
The video showed Maraghy, 26, sucker punch the victim after calling him a “geriatric f**k,” a “hick,” and an anti-gay slur.
The incident began after the 62-year-old victim complained about the man and his girlfriend standing for the entire game.
Maraghy pummeled the man with a series of punches before other fans stepped in to stop him. The assailant fled with his girlfriend to fans booing him, the Post reported.
“The Carolina Panthers are committed to a fan-friendly and family-friendly stadium experience,” the Panthers wrote in a statement on Friday, hours before Maraghy was caught. “The behavior exhibited by the perpetrator is unacceptable and will not be condoned at Bank of America Stadium.”

Maraghy is no stranger to being in trouble with the law.
He has been apprehended and charged with assault two times since 2013, and has a series of traffic infractions, according to the Daily Mail.
Not surprisingly at least one person found a way to blame President Donald Trump for the attack.
Musician, and Huffington Post writer, Ferrari Sheppard claimed in a tweet that the older man called Maraghy an anti-Hispanic racial slur before being punched. Something no one else apparently heard or reported.
“Dude said ‘you’re a spic!’ Then he got that eye dotted. Don’t let Trump get your head knocked off,” Sheppard wrote in celebration of the attack.

And if that was not celebration enough, Sheppard bragged about how good of a punch the man had.

The word the victim actually used was either “sit” or “spit” according to nearly everyone else who heard it.

Yeah, but Sheppard needed to hear a racial slur so he could parlay it into an attack on the president.
