Kilmeade takes high road in response to Jimmy Kimmel’s childish threat; leaves him with some sound advice

Despite the threat of a ‘pounding’ and being called a “phony little creep” by comedian Jimmy Kimmel, Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade opted to reply with a show of class.

Kilmeade took the high road in responding to the low blow, which was prompted by the Fox News host criticizing Kimmel’s recent monologue on health care — Kilmeade characterized the late night TV host as being part of the “Hollywood elites… pushing their politics on the rest of the country.”

On Thursday’s “Fox & Friends,” Kilmeade acknowledged Kimmel’s slam against him, but encouraged his counter-part to learn more about the bill he was so critical of.

“I hope your son gets better. I hope your son gets all the care he needs,” Kilmeade said, addressing Kimmel directly.

“I’m glad you’re interested,” he said. “You’re doing a great job bringing the dialogue out, but you should do what we’re doing. Talk to the people that wrote it.”

Kimmel, whose son was born in April with a serious heart issue, created a stir when he ripped into Sen. Bill Cassidy, R-La., who co-sponsored the Graham-Cassidy health care bill now being pushed in the Senate, saying Cassidy “lied right to my face” when the lawmaker appeared on his show earlier this year.

At issue is what Cassidy himself called the “Jimmy Kimmel test.”

The test is that “no family should be denied medical care, emergency or otherwise, because they can’t afford it”

Yet, the current bill being bandied about does not meet this criteria, as Kimmel sees it.
