They say they’re fighting hate, racism, bigotry and, well, fascism, but in reality the group that calls itself Antifa is the sworn, violent enemy of free speech, free association, the right to peaceably assemble, President Trump, and anyone who identifies as even remotely conservative.
The emphasis, of course, being on the ‘violent’ part, because beatings, brick & urine tossing, and property destruction were the modus operandi of these masked thugs way before they earned ‘hero’ status from everyone from Terry McAuliffe to Marco Rubio for their substantial part in the Charlottesville mayhem.
Which left many wondering why renowned ‘anti-hate’ watchdog the Southern Poverty Law Center hasn’t put Antifa at least somewhere on their watch list, what with all the ‘hate’ being brutally administered across the foreheads of Trump-supporters of every race. Hell, we’d settle for a footnote at this point.
But apparently, Antifa ‘hate’ isn’t the type of hate the SPLC is interested in.

To his credit, late as it may be, SPLC President Richard Cohen has finally decided to address the antifa movement, or perhaps he has been forced to as they continue to actively recruit candidates for the alt-right (apparently, the whole ‘flies with honey’ thing isn’t ‘woke’ enough).
Calling the movement “wrongheaded” for using violence and shutting down free speech, Cohen told the Washington Examiner, “We oppose these groups and what they’re trying to do. We just don’t think anyone should be able to censor someone else’s speech.”
“We think they are contributing to the problem we are seeing,” Cohen continued. “We think it’s likely to lead to other forms of retaliation. In Berkeley, antifa showed up and shut down speeches. The next time the white supremacists brought the Oath Keepers with them, they brought their own army.”
Bitter Chelsea Clinton miscalculated; petty response to Trump helping victims backfired
But why aren’t they a hate group? Well, according to Cohen, their adherents don’t discriminate based on any protected classes like race or sexual orientation.
“There might be forms of hate out there that you may consider hateful, but it’s not the type of hate we follow,” said the SPLC president, adding, “we follow them, but we don’t track them in the same way.”
So, what do we need to do to make Trump supporters a protected class?
Meanwhile, the money just keep rolling in…
