Mexican police video of WILD shootout with cartel near United States border with GoPro

A stunning video circulating the Internet showed the moment Mexican authorities engaged in a fierce shootout with a drug cartel.

The action took place in Madera, Chihuahua, close to the border with the United States, last Saturday, according to the Spanish language website Excelsior.

“Save your ammunition, save your ammunition!” one of the police shouted, according to the translation.

One man was killed and three were detained after the melee. Authorities also seized weapons and vehicles, according to El Diario.

The video was taken by a Mexican officer, Carlos Alejandro Cruz Rangel, who goes by the name “El Ranger.”

Rangel, who is in charge of the State Commission of Security, recorded the action with a GoPro camera, El Diario reported.
