Kellyanne Conway answered the question many in the mainstream media keep asking. Why do President Donald Trump and his administration continue to talk about Hillary Clinton?
“She won’t go away,” Conway explained to FOX Business’ Gregg Jarrett on “Lou Dobbs Tonight” on Friday.
“When people say that those of us who work in the Trump administration are still talking about Hillary Clinton, are still talking about the campaign, it’s because she won’t go away. If she really wanted to have a strong solid voice moving forward, why isn’t she running some kind of charitable operation?” she said.
“We don’t want to pay much mind. We don’t talk about her (at the White House) at all. She just keeps on coming back again and again, now with the book. It’s always somebody else’s fault except hers (for losing the election),” she said.
Conway cited is Clinton’s new book in which she claimed that she was intimidated by President Trump “looming” over her during her second debate, which Conway found amusing.
“This whole anecdote about a woman who is seeking the highest office in the land, if not the world, saying that a man was intimidating because of where he was standing at a debate. How are you going to stand up to the rest of the world’s leaders if that was bothering you?” she asked.
“She’s always had a very hard time admitting culpability and liability for her losses,” Conway said. “You see all these other books that are coming out showing that they were shocked at results. It’s Comey’s fault, it’s Russia’s fault, it’s Donald Trump’s fault, it was the weather’s fault,” she said before Jarrett interrupted her with more Clinton excuses.
“Sexism, misogynist, racism, DNC, the list goes on and on,” he said.
If Clinton is looking for the reasons she lost the presidential election to President Trump, Conway offered some more reasonable ideas.
“We’re almost at the one year anniversary, September 9th, of Hillary Clinton referring to half of the country as deplorable and irredeemable. That didn’t help,” she said. “The fact that everybody’s polling said 62 percent of Americans said that she was neither honest or trustworthy. I don’t know that that’s gotten any better for her.
“I don’t know that her putting out books with newly created fiction is going to help either.”
