White House issues NEW statement on white supremacy, but Jake Tapper still had meltdown

The White House issued a statement on Sunday to spell out what he meant in his previous statement about the Charlottesville riots.

“The President said very strongly in his statement yesterday that he condemns all forms of violence, bigotry and hatred and of course that includes white Supremacists, KKK, neo-nazi and all extremist groups,” the statement read. “He called for national unity and bringing all Americans together.”

That message was apparent to anyone that doesn’t have Trump Derangement Syndrome when he spoke on Saturday and decried the violent behavior “on all sides.”

But the initial statement wasn’t good enough for many liberal talking heads, who for years said that the phrase “radical Islamic terrorism” did not have to be said. Suddenly, for them, words mattered and the president had to call the enemy by its name.

The hypocrites pressured the president to explicitly call out white supremacists – which he has in this new statement – which makes on wonder what the next complaint will be.

But, as if the violence of the left with Antifa and the shooting of Republican Congressman Steve Scalise didn’t happen, CNN’s Jake Tapper tore into White House Homeland Security Adviser Tom Bossert for agreeing with the president that violence on both sides is unacceptable.

“How many people did the counter-protesters kill yesterday, Mr. Bossert?” Tapper asked on CNN’s “State of the Union.”

“One death is too many,” Bossert responded.

“The victim was a counter-protester!” Tapper protested.

“Hold on one moment, Jake!” Bossert shouted. “I don’t for one moment and I won’t allow you for one second to put me in a position of being an apologist for somebody who is now a charged murderer. This individual should face swift justice. The President of the United States shares that view. I know he does. I share that view deeply. And I don’t want to be put in a position — I won’t allow you to put me or him in a position of not finding that justice as swiftly as possible.”

“You just decried both sides,” Tapper shouted back. “Here we have a situation, Mr. Bossert, where neo-nazis, the Klan, Alt-Right and others went to Charlottesville, Virginia chanting antisemitic, anti-African-American and other racist slogans, provoking the people of Charlottesville, Virginia, making them feel intimidated. Yes, violence did break out. But one person was killed by one of these Alt-Right-Klan-Nazi protesters.”

“And you just decried both sides!” he continued.

“No I didn’t,” he said. “You’re making this issue a little bit distorted.”
