Fox News’ chief national correspondent Ed Henry joined the “Fox & Friends Weekend” crew to discuss President Donald Trump‘s insistence that he will put an end to health care coverage “bailouts” for Congress.
In a series of tweet posted early Saturday, Trump urged Senate Republicans not to be “total quitters” and to push for another vote to repeal and replace Obamacare.
The president put Congress on notice on what may happen if they fail.
“If a new HealthCare Bill is not approved quickly, BAILOUTS for Insurance Companies and BAILOUTS for Members of Congress will end very soon!” he tweeted.

The “bailouts” for Congress refer to a policy implemented by the Office of Personnel Management under the Obama administration that “allowed employer contributions to flow to the D.C. insurance exchange to help pay for member and staff benefits,” as explained by Roll Call.
Henry said that people come up to him at his book signings to say they love the president’s tweeting because it accomplished things like exposing the hypocrisy of lawmakers who sunk repeal and replace.
He noted that members of both parties decided they “don’t wan’t to live under the same rules as the rest of the country.”
“This is ridiculous and this is what Congress does on a whole bunch of laws,” Henry said. “What they were saying is, ‘We want a little special carve out.'”
“Now will the president be able to do away with that?” he continued. “Who knows.”
Henry went on to say it may just be rhetoric, but Trump is saying he’s going to expose the “special deal” of lawmakers who lack the courage of their convictions after seven years of promising to repeal and replace Obamacare.
