An 18-year-old California woman has been arrested and charged in the death of her 14-year-old sister in a drunk driving accident.
Obdulia Sanchez, has been charged with driving under the influence and gross vehicular manslaughter in the accident she live streamed on her Instagram account that showed the death of her 14-year-old sister, NBC News reported.
The accident occurred on Friday when the 2003 Buick she was driving veered to the right. Sanchez over corrected and caused the car to cross several lanes, break through a wire fence and flip onto a field.
Sanchez talked to the camera before, and after, the crash. Seemingly more concerned with talking to her social media friends than the tragic accident she caused.
“I f**king love my sister to death. I don’t give a f**k. We about to die. This is the last thing I wanted to happen to us but it just did,” she says. “Jacqueline, please wake up. This is the last thing I wanted to happen… I killed my sister, but I don’t care,” she said as she maneuvered to take a video selfie with her dead sister.

“I know I’m going to prison, but I don’t care. I’m sorry, baby. I’ma hold it down….rest in peace, sweetie. If you don’t survive, I am so f**king sorry.”
The video ends with Sanchez kneeling next to her dead sister and shouting “Wake up baby, I’m f**king sorry baby, I did not mean to kill you sweetie.”
Sanchez’s sister, and another 14-year-old in the backseat, were not wearing seat belts and were launched from the vehicle.
“We were going to go to her house the next day to celebrate her Quinceanera and unfortunately that happened,” the girl’s cousin Ramos Estrada said.
One of the people watching the live stream, Mary Hernandez, 25, was so disturbed by what she was watching that she recorded the video.
“There are so many people that are on my Snapchat that I see driving on their phone,” she told NBC News. “I hope that this video makes people think twice about what they’re doing in their car.”
Police said they were aware of “video evidence located on social media” and is investigating it.
