Gang member livestreams wild shootout with LA police; social media all dumbfounded by one thing

A video taken by a murder suspect showed a wild shootout between him and the Los Angeles Police Department.

The unidentified thug, who was wanted in connection with a gang related murder in march, struck one officer before he was riddled with bullets, CBS Los Angeles reported.

The suspect was shouting into his camera, as he streamed the shootout on Facebook Live, saying “they about to kill me.”

“Mama I love you. My kids, I love you,” he said seconds before he was struck.

“It’s over with! It’s over with!” he shouted. “They got me!”

The unnamed suspect was rushed to the hospital where emergency surgery was performed to save his life. He is expected to survive.

The officer, a 23-year veteran who was struck in the hip, is expected to make a full recovery.

Police Chief Charlie Beck said on Thursday that the suspect led police on a chase in El Segundo before the shootout occurred.

Social media was dumbfounded as to why he would choose to incriminate himself with video.
