If you hadn’t heard of Maryland reporter Brian Karem before Tuesday, you might begin to understand White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer’s concerns about making “YouTube stars” out of reporters who seem simply to be out to bleat, bluster and make a name for themselves at President Trump’s expense.
This time Spicer’s deputy, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, led the on-camera briefing. While Sanders was responding to Brietbart’s Charlie Spiering about the fact that CNN, that ever-“reliable” purveyor of “fake news,” just accepted the resignation of several employees involved in the publication of an inaccurate Trump-Russia story, Karem interrupted with a line of questioning of his own.
“You’re inflaming everybody right now with those words,” Karem, a former “America’s Most Wanted” correspondent who now works for the Prince Georges County Sentinel, said. “Why in the name of heavens?”
“He is also an occasional writer for Playboy magazine,” according to The Daily Mail and confirmed by a tweet posted after the outburst.
“Yes, that’s Playboy’s White House Correspondent @briankarem, having his “Network” moment—and giving ’em hell.”
Even Jared Kushner couldn’t ignore Melania’s dress as she wowed everyone in the Rose Garden

Karem then made the point that reporters can be fired for making mistakes, but President Trump will be in office for four years regardless of the errors he may make.
So, when we are wrong we correct ourselves but when has POTUS ever done that? We are not FAKE news.

“The audience can change the channel,” said Karem. “What you just did is inflammatory.”
Undeterred, Sanders simply turned to the next reporter and took another question.
Interestingly, before Karem’s interruption, Sanders had already made the perfect point by rhetorically asking whether or not the directives to engage in fake news, like endless Trump-Russia coverage when there is clearly nothing there, come from the top simply to “spike ratings.”
Given the recent video, published by Project Veritas, of a CNN producer verifying just that, we now definitively know the answer.

Here are a few Twitter reactions to Karem’s post:
This guy is looking for his 1 minute of fame. The place he works for is not even news but filth.

You are such fake news and the people know it. Your organizations are disgraceful blatant manipulative propaganda outlets.

Yes! you are very FAKE News, worse than the Enquirer.

This couldn’t have been scripted better! This unhinged “reporter” screams & berates Mrs. Sanders & liberals praise him. Great job!

Karem also got plenty of support from the left, and this tweet simply underscores Spicer’s point:
You’re my hero. Glad to see you’re gaining followers faster than I can refresh.
