The social media accounts of the alleged shooter of Rep. Steve Scalise and other GOP members on Wednesday appears to reveal his motivation.
James. T. Hodgkinson, 66, of Belleville, Illinois was an avid fan of Democrat socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders, who despised the GOP and President Donald Trump.
In one of his postings he called on others to “destroy” the president.
His page showed he wasn’t a fan of any Republicans or of Democrat presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.
President Donald Trump announced at a news conference on Wednesday that the shooter is dead.
His profile picture read “Democratic Socialism explained in 3 words: ‘We the People’ Since 1776.”
Neighbors told CBS News they had not seen Hodgkinson in months.
But, according to CBS, he did volunteer for the Sanders presidential campaign.

According to reports, Hodgkinson is married with children and grandchildren.

According to Heavy.com, Hodgkinson has a second Facebook page where he wrote more anti-President Trump rhetoric.
On a second Facebook page in his name, Hodgkinson wrote two days ago, “I Want to Say Mr. President, for being an ass hole you are Truly the Biggest Ass Hole We Have Ever Had in the Oval Office.”
On June 12, he wrote, “Make America Great Again, Resign!,” along with a meme of Trump with the words, “All in all it’s just another prick in the wall.” He also wrote, “Trump is Guilty & Should Go to Prison for Treason” and “Trump is a Mean, Disgusting Person.”
