Ivanka Trump appeared on “Fox & Friends” on Monday and explained that because of the rancor in Washington, D.C., it’s “hard” to get things done.
Fired FBI director James Comey’s testimony last week before the Senate intelligence meeting came up, but Ivanka was more than ready to move on.
“My father felt very vindicated in all the statements that he’s been making and feels incredibly optimistic,” she said in response to Comey’s appearance. “But, you know, at the White House and throughout the administration, we were incredibly focused on the reason we all went to Washington and what we are fighting for.”

And with that, Ivanka began talking about the administrations’ efforts to improve the nation’s infrastructure. Education and job training was also discussed.
She was asked about the difficulty of getting things done because of politics.
“There is a level of viciousness that I wasn’t expecting,” Trump responded. “I was not expecting the intensity of this experience.”
A “viciousness” that won’t even grant a reprieve to 11-year-old Barron Trump, not that Ivanka was raising the white flag. She said delivering “big bold things,” as the Trump administration intends, “isn’t supposed to be easy.”
“Some of the distractions and some of the ferocity I was a little blindsided by on a personal level,” Trump admitted, before saying she just keeps her head down and tries not to listen to the noise.
Getting ahead of the haters, she then put things into perspective.
“If you want to think about difficult, it’s the factory worker who’s been laid off,” Ivanka said. “Difficult is, you know, the mother who has lost a child to opioid abuse… so these are the real challenges.”
