A stunning picture of a Canadian man mowing his lawn as a tornado loomed behind him had the internet abuzz on Sunday.
But it’s what the man said afterwards that has everyone talking now.
Cecilia Wessels took the photo of her husband Theunis Wessels, as he mowed the lawn on Friday to send to her family in South Africa, CBC reported.
Cecilia said she was awoken from a nap by her nine-year-old daughter who was concerned because he father, who said mowing the lawn was on his list of things to do, wouldn’t come inside as the tornado was in the sky.

“I literally took the picture to show my mum and dad in South Africa, ‘Look there’s a tornado,’ and now everyone is like, ‘Why is your husband mowing the lawn?”‘ she told CBC.

“Our whole street, everyone was on their back patios taking pictures,” she said.
And even though the ominous tornado is frightening to masses who have seen the photo, Theunis was steely cool in his assessment of the situation.
“It looks much closer if you look in the photo, but it was really far away. Well, not really far, far away, but it was far away from us,” Theunis said.
“I was keeping an eye on it.”
