Sad! Trump obsessed CNN hosts challenge young spelling bee champ to spell a Trump ‘nonsense’ word

At CNN every story is a story about President Donald Trump.

Scripps Spelling Bee champion Ananya Vinay appeared on “New Day” on Friday and, as any host would do, Chris Cuomo and Alisyn Camerota wanted the 12-year-old to spell a word.

But rather than ask her to spell an actual word, the Trump-loathing hosts decided to take a shot at the president.

“We would like you to spell a word,” Camerota told her. “It has recently become popular. Not sure if you’re familiar with it or if you know the definition. Do you know the word covfefe?”

Vinay, not being a political hack like the hosts, assumed it was a real word and asked for the definition.

The smug hosts, continuing the unfunny joke.

“Definition is, a nonsense word made up by the 45th President of the United States in a late night tweet.”

“Language of origin?” she asked.

“Gibberish” both hosts said.

Vinay asked if there were any alternate spelling, which set the hosts into a frenzy of giving all the pronunciations they could think of.

A pathetic moment from a network that has become famous for them.

The hosts were ridiculed on social media for bringing a child into their nonsense.
