‘How much crow are you going to eat?’ Sununu SKEWERS CNN’s Alisyn Camerota over Trump ‘collusion’

Former Republican New Hampshire Gov. John Sununu so thoroughly carved up CNN’s Alisyn Camerota in her repeated attempts to smear the Trump administration, all she could do in the end was laugh.

Again and again Camerota goes to the well trying to implicate President Donald Trump in colluding with the Russians, beginning with the latest nothing-burger, son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner reportedly trying to establish back-channel communications with Moscow AFTER the November election.

“It is not unusual,” the former chief of staff for President George W. Bush said of the efforts. “You guys have made ‘back channel’ a derogatory word. A back channel is a positive asset.”

The CNN host continued to speculate, asking Sununu if “there is anything about the Russian investigation connected to the Trump campaign that troubles you?”

He lowered the boom on the media.

“Yeah, the reporting that’s taking place and the exaggeration of veniality and the suggestion… look, it’s now seven months since the election; and to this day, no one has cited a single piece of evidence.”

Not to be deterred, Camerota continued to press.

“Look, you’re asking hypotheticals on hypotheticals,” he said, shutting her down once again.

“I’m trying to actually take your temperature. I’m trying to gauge your comfort level with all of this,” she replied.

“The only discomfort I have is with folks in the media trying to create a veniality without having the courage to specifically tell me what the veniality that I should be concerned about is,” Sununu said.

He got Camerota to acknowledge on-air that after 7 months, there’s still no evidence of collusion, and then tells her, “That should end your reporting right there.”

The CNN host replied that with the recent appointment of Robert Mueller as special counsel, “we’re at the beginning of the investigation.”

The comment elicited laughter from Sununu, who went on to ask, “If Mueller comes out and says that my version is correct and yours isn’t, how much crow are you going to eat?”

Camerota insisted she doesn’t have a version of events, prompting Sununu to shoot back, “Of course, you do!”

And while all she could do was laugh at being owned by Sununu, her guest is allowed to define what the investigation is really all about, as seen below:
