Boycotting Heineken; because promoting open borders not what these patriots want on Memorial Day

German beer brand Heineken wants to see a world without borders.

As a follow-up to its ad earlier this year where it invited people to #OpenYourWorld and discuss hot button issues one on one to bring unity, the brand has extended that philosophy to include abolishing national borders.

“Here’s To An Open World. To a world without borders or barriers,” the beer cans and bottles reads. “To the belief that there is more that unites us than divides us. To find common ground to raise a bottle with the person next to you. Because a stranger is just a friend that you haven’t had a cold Heineken with yet. Open Your World.”

Unlike the commercial, which was roundly applauded by both sides of the political spectrum, the open borders message was roasted on social media.
