On Monday, the White House officially unveiled the first official portrait of First Lady Melania Trump, which was taken at the White House.
“I am honored to serve in the role of First Lady, and look forward to working on behalf of the American people over the coming years,” said Mrs. Trump in a statement.
Married to President Donald Trump since January of 2005, Melania is the second First Lady to be born outside the United States, becoming a U.S. citizen in 2006.

What a great picture! Of course, being America in 2017, some people on the “other side” will take every possible opportunity to hate, even on something as seemingly innocuous as a portrait of a beautiful lady, and they weren’t shy about expressing their insanity on Twitter:
Since she's not fulfilling the duties but billing us anyway, shouldn't the official portrait be blank? https://t.co/IopFC7azaE

A little disappointed to realized that this is an official FLOTUS portrait and not an announcement for a Dynasty reboot. pic.twitter.com/JLWTYMU1ie

Is the official portrait of the First Lady public domain? I’d like to use it for the Gaussian Blur lesson in my beginning Photoshop course. pic.twitter.com/IYd7eMYEGf

But in the midst of all the reactions, both positive and negative, one pertinent question for WH staff did come up…
