In case there was any doubt, Texas Governor Greg Abbott took to social media Sunday night to make clear where he stands on gun rights and the Second Amendment.
The Republican governor tweeted a photo of a sign on the door of a business, along with the caption:Â “You know you’re in Texas when you see signs like this.”
The sign forewarned: “Lawful Open And Concealed Carry Welcome Here! We refuse to be a disarmed victim zone. Help keep our town safe and crime free. Keep your weapon holstered unless the need arises.”

After signing into law bills that allow Texans to carry concealed handguns on college campuses and open carry most other places, Abbott’s pro-gun stance doesn’t come as a surprise to those paying attention.
