Dear outraged fem-libs: Pence was right, my career didn’t require boozy private dinners with the boss

Vice President Mike Pence became an instant target of the perpetually aggrieved left following a feature in the Washington Post on his wife, Karen.

…but leave it to a conservative woman to put things into proper perspective.

At the center of the controversy is a reference to a comment the vice president made in 2002 that he never eats alone with a woman other than his wife and that he won’t attend events where alcohol is served without her by his side.

Liberals lost their collective minds, pun intended, going so far as to compare Pence’s “rule” to Sharia law, although, when cutting to the chase, what truly offended the left is that Pence practices his marriage by Christian standards.

Case in point, the Huffington Post: “First, the religious guidelines that govern what ‘respect’ means to the Pences are part of a system that works to prop up male power and keep women subordinate.”

Who knew that respecting your wife makes her subordinate?

But Vox took it even further, suggesting the vice president’s belief system in practice in the workplace may be “illegal.”

That’s where The Federalist’s Mollie Hemingway comes into play, answering the feminist charge that Pence’s views “allow men to view women as ‘other’ rather than equal.”

Hemingway, recently hired by Fox News as a contributor, also appeared on her new network to espouse her views on the matter:

Turns out, Hemingway wasn’t the only woman to realize success without selling out on what’s important.

Here’s a sampling of other responses from Twitter, to include fellow conservative Mary Katherine Ham, who tells Hemingway: “We’re doing feminism wrong.”
