‘Hey Huma, what’s up?’ Kellyanne recalls Hillary’s historic concession call, ‘literally it was like a movie’

President Donald Trump’s top aide Kellyanne Conway recalled the historic moment Hillary Clinton called to concede to Donald Trump during an appearance Friday at the National Review Institute’s Ideas Summit in Washington.

Then Trump’s campaign manager, Conway said she received a call from Clinton’s right-hand woman, Huma Abedin, explaining the two camps has discussed via email how and when the concession call would take place.

…except, Team Hillary was expecting Trump to be conceding.

“[Clinton campaign manager] Robby Mook had agreed the night before through an email to me that within 15 minutes of the AP calling the race for Secretary Clinton, they would wait 15 minutes and then she would take to the podium and declare victory,” Conway explained.

“So he was basically saying that you have 15 minutes for Mr. Trump to get out there or she’s going to declare victory either way.”

With an exaggerated wink, Conway added that Mook said in the event Trump should win, Clinton would call him within 15 minutes.

“I look down – literally it was like a movie – my phone is ringing and it said ‘Huma Abedin.’ And I said, ‘Hey, Huma. What’s up?'” Conway said with a big smile.

“And she’s absolutely lovely, she really is,” she said. “And she’s like ‘Hi Kellyanne, Secretary Clinton would like to speak to Mr. Trump.'”

When Abedin asked if he was available, Conway said she replied, “We’re very available!”

“And I handed [Mr. Trump]  the phone,” she said. “My husband took a screenshot of that – the 2:30 a.m. I handed him the phone and he and Vice President [Mike] Pence and their wives were there and the rest is history.”

“So that was just really a remarkable moment and I think it was a remarkable moment for anybody, any David fighting a Goliath, frankly,” Conway concluded.
