Boy, don’t mess with patrons of the arts.
Giving unhinged anti-Trump forces a run for the money, an art enthusiast in Phoenix commissioned an alarming billboard attacking the president.
In the roadside ad, President Donald Trump is flanked by mushroom clouds and dollar signs made to look like swastikas — the offensive display is the handiwork of Beatrice Moore, who is described as a longtime patron of the arts by NBC affiliate KPNX.

The billboard ad went up after the president’s proposed budget calling for YUGE cuts in the agencies that fund the arts, humanities and public media.
Funding that Fox News host Tucker Carlson said was little more than “welfare for rich, liberal elites.” Carlson had an interesting discussion with Robin Bronk, CEO of the Creative Coalition, on whether the arts should be funded by the public — not the government.
Moore told KPNX: “Some of these issues are so important you can’t not speak out.”

It’s placement coincides with the start of an annual three-day art event in downtown Phoenix, but Moore said it would remain up as long as Trump is president.
…though, eight years is a long time for folks to have to look at the eyesore.
The reaction on social media suggests a fast growing intolerance to the anti-Trump hysteria in the country.
Here’s a sampling of responses from Twitter:
@brahmresnik @realDonaldTrump so a “patron of the arts” likens defunding of petulant children in the “arts” is akin to Nazism #GetARealJob
