Talk about grasping at straws! Check out the latest fake news about President Trump’s Wednesday Nashville rally, this time coming from Brian Cohen of Occupy Democrats:

In a post that had almost 30,000 Facebook mentions so far, Cohen, who also writes for The Huffington Post (shocker, I know), writes:
“If no one told the current President that the election is over, maybe his crowd size will. Still preferring campaigning to governing, Trump held his latest pathetic rally in Tennessee and was faced with scores of empty seats.”

Stating that Trump “couldn’t even fill up” the 9,000 seat Nashville Municipal Auditorium, Cohen pointed out the protesters still outside who “braved freezing cold temperatures” to make their presence known:

Were there empty seats? Yes, but if Cohen had done a second’s worth of real research he would have found legitimate news sources that explained why.
The Tennessean explains:
Thousands of Trump supporters and protesters flooded downtown streets in the lead-up to and during the president’s remarks. Some supporters who were waiting in line for more than 12 hours in the bitter cold just made it to the doors of the Municipal Auditorium as Trump wrapped up his remarks. One 11-year-old girl left with tears streaming down her face.
The scene was just one example of the mass confusion and logjam that occurred as people tried to be a part of the president’s visit. Trump did delay the start of his speech for more than 30 minutes to try and allow for more people to come in, with U.S. Sen. Bob Corker speaking and Tennessee GOP favorite Lee Greenwood playing “Proud to be an American” to fill the time. Still, hundreds of seats remained unfilled, pointing to some of the initial surprise that the 1960s-era auditorium was picked for a presidential event in the first place.
So clearly, this Occupy Democrats columnist is clearly himself engaged in FAKE NEWS, which makes Cohen’s “fake news” slam at several conservative websites in the article especially ironic.
@OccupyDemocrats NOT a fan of #45, but n the spirit of honesty, there were thousands who were outside waiting to get in. Security was SLOW.

It seems the facts may have caught up with Cohen, since the link to the article no longer works. But the following screenshot of a Google search still gives a preview:
Meanwhile, Wednesday night President Trump tweeted video of the massive line.

And plenty of others had more to offer:

Fox News also reported on the enthusiastic crowds.

Indeed, some better organization would certainly be in order. The fact that there were people begging to get in and still hundreds of empty seats is the REAL news of the day, and it should have never happened.
