Clinton ally offers eye-popping reward for Trump’s REAL tax return

When it became apparent that Rachel Maddow’s big reveal of President Donald Trump’s tax return was a bust an ally of Hillary Clinton solicited a felony.

David Brock, the founder of Media Matters, offered $5 million for someone to give him a copy of the president’s tax returns.

It wasn’t Brock’s first time making such an offer either.

During the presidential election he said he had a Republican donor that was prepared to give $5 million to charity if anyone produced the taxes.

Brock is not only soliciting someone to commit the felony of stealing the tax returns but might be in hot water himself if he published them, as Maddow and MSNBC might find themselves in.

Federal law prohibits “unauthorized disclosure” of tax information. Violation of the law is “a felony punishable by a fine in any amount not exceeding $5,000, or imprisonment of not more than 5 years, or both, together with the costs of prosecution.”

Though Maddow claimed publishing the documents is protected by the First Amendment.
