To the chagrin on many Americans, FBI director James Comey let it be known that he isn’t going anywhere any time soon.
“You’re stuck with me for another 6 ½ years,” the Obama appointee said Wednesday.
Comey made the comment at a Boston College conference on cybersecurity, saying he plans to serve his entire 10-year term, Politico reported. He was first tapped to lead the bureau in 2013 by then-President Barack Obama.

As for how long Comey remains, that is ultimately up to the discretion of the president.
A common theme on social media in response to his comment was to say if you’re going to stick around, then “do your job!”
