Jesse Watters confronted an anti-Trump critic who tried to degrade the long standing ovation given to the widow of Navy SEAL William Ryan Owens last week at President Donald Trump’s address to a joint session of Congress.
…a moment most American’s saw as beautiful and powerful.
Former NSA analyst John Schindler, who appeared on “Watters World” this weekend, saw it differently, suggesting that Carryn Owens was publicly exploited by Trump.
Schindler also implied she was coerced into attending the joint-session address, but an impassioned Watters quickly shot that argument down.

“I have no problem with the president honoring Mrs. Owens,” Schindler said. “What I have a problem with is hours before, he had passed the buck and said they — meaning the senior military leadership — had gotten her husband killed. They lost him is what he literally said.”
“This isn’t about the raid,” Watters countered. “It’s about this widow and her husband, and it’s about the long service he has given this country.”
But Watters was just getting started in his rousing defense of Mrs. Owens.
“I can’t believe that you would denigrate the service and sacrifice of this family by accusing her of being a pawn for the president,” he told Schindler. “You wouldn’t say that to her face, would you?
“Sure,” his guest responded with a shrug of the shoulders, after first denying that’s what he did. “Absolutely.”
Watters told Schindler he’s probably get “slapped in the face” if he did, before adding, “Your hate for Trump is clouding your compassion.”
After telling Schindler he should be ashamed of himself for being critical of Mrs. Owens, Watters then buried his guest.
Not everyone is buying James Clapper’s wiretapping denial, considering his past record
“Everybody in America thought this was a beautiful moment, except you and a few kooks,” Watters concluded. “If you want to throw in with the people on ‘The View,’ if you want to throw in with Michael Moore and Bill Maher, that’s fine. But the rest of the country thought that was a powerful moment and it was about HER, not your political agenda.”
