This is sure to get a few tongues wagging…
President Donald Trump has dubbed his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida, the “Winter White House,” and according to one report, could be planning to spend a lot of time there as president.
So much so that he’s reportedly building a large helipad on the grounds of his private club so that Marine One can fly in directly, according to the New York Post’s celebrity news and gossip entity Page Six.

The president has spent three weekends at Mar-a-Lago since taking office in January and has been landing at nearby Palm Beach International Airport, before transferring to the presidential limousine — affectionately known as “The Beast” — for the drive to the club.

We’re told the 40- to 50-foot-wide dirt pit on the west lawn is currently surrounded by bright orange construction posts. But club insiders say that members are willing to put up with the eyesore, because they hope it will reduce the traffic that is caused when the president’s motorcade rolls though.
“Even if you live a block away, it can take an hour and a half to get into the club when Trump’s in town, with all the security and extra traffic.”
It’s unclear who would foot the bill for such an endeavor, if true. The helipad would prove to be beneficial to locals who would avoid major traffic tie-ups as the president motorcade rolls through.
