Rep. Maxine Waters has increased her rhetoric against President Donald Trump and his cabinet with her usual brash language.
During an interview on MSNBC’s “All In,” she had harsh words for the Trump administration, who she called a “Kremlin Klan.”
“I just think the American people had better understand what’s going on. This is a bunch of scumbags. That’s what they are. Who are all organized around making money,” she told host Chris Hayes.
Hayes asked the congresswoman who exactly she was referring to with that pointed comment.
“Those are very strong words congresswoman,” Hayes said “Who do you mean by that?”
“You mean the secretary of state of the United States?”
“Well I tell you this, [Secretary of State Rex] Tillerson is there to get these sanctions lifted,” Waters said. “I believe it, just watch him. He’s gonna [sic] continue to work on it. This is important for him. He was there because he negotiated the deal with Exxon, with [Russian President Vladimir] Putin.”
A defiant Waters tweeted a similar sentiment after the show.
I’ll be joining the hosts on @TheRealDaytime tomorrow, discussing @realDonaldTrump and his #kremlinklan. Please tune in! pic.twitter.com/4YBFYurKXX
