It seems some in the media are choosing to double down on their biased coverage of President Donald Trump in the face of last week’s tongue lashing from the president.
Case in point, NBC seemed to lament over this “newsworthy” milestone:
President Trump reaches 32 days, won't be shortest U.S. president https://t.co/Xcj17gKSbk
— NBC Politics (@NBCPolitics) February 20, 2017
“This Presidents Day, as thousands prepare to swarm the streets for anti-administration rallies, President Donald Trump has reached his 32nd day in office, and will soon surpass the record for the shortest term in the Oval Office,” wrote NBC’s Chelsea Bailey.
How’s that for reinforcing a narrative?
Bailey went on to inform readers that the ninth president, William Henry Harrison, who died from pneumonia 32 days into his presidency, had the shortest term, before noting that the second shortest term was due to the assassination of James Garfield after seven months in office.
The “Fox & Friends” morning crew marveled over this crack reporting, which co-host Brian Kilmeade called “incredible.”
