What else is new? Over the weekend, protesters took to the street yet again. The cause célèbre this time? Well, Donald Trump, of course (yawn).
More specifically, Trump’s so-called “Muslim-ban.”
The theme? “I am a Muslim too!”
This particular protest didn’t quite pack the punch of last month’s Women’s March. Upwards of 1,000 people gathered in New York City’s Times Square to march, carry pictures of a woman wearing an American flag hijab, and hear Mayor Bill de Blasio and Hip-Hop artist Russell Simmons, among others, drone on about the endless glories of diversity.

Today I joined thousands of New Yorkers in Times Square to make something clear – we the people, we will have the final say. #IAmAMuslimToo pic.twitter.com/idG5l34oMG

Interestingly, Simmons used to be friends with Trump. According to Fox News, “the two men reportedly socialized nearly every weekend at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida. Trump even wrote the foreword for two of Simmons’ books, and Simmons has said he was with Trump during Trump’s first date with now-First Lady Melania Trump.”
But the two haven’t spoken since 2015, when Trump began his run for president and Simmons said he’d rather see Kim Kardashian in the role.
Palestinian activist Linda Sarsour was there with actress Susan Sarandon.

But don’t worry, Sarsour is totally against sharia law coming to the United States.
You'll know when you're living under Sharia Law if suddenly all your loans & credit cards become interest free. Sound nice, doesn't it?

Chelsea Clinton was there along with her daughter, Charlotte. It was Charlotte’s first protest – how sweet!

At least one person, who obviously has no idea what the definition of a “feminist” is, was carrying a sign that read “Muslim girls are Feminist.” I guess if she considers being blamed for rape and not being allowed to drive, appear in public without a relative, or wear a bathing suit “feminist,” then Muslim girls ARE feminist!
How progressive!

The 1,000 or so people who showed up were “far from the 5,000 expected,” according to Fox News. But still, organizers were quick to use alternative facts to bolster their numbers … uh, tenfold!
An estimated 10k people attended today's #iamamuslimtoo rally. Thank you @bustle for capturing these images https://t.co/k2PDvodtC0

Finally, to sum it all up…
I saw pics from the #iamamuslimtoo march showing Jewish signs in "support" of Islam. Somehow I don't think the feeling is entirely mutual. pic.twitter.com/OpgBkTQKnH

Yeah, liberals have been accused of many things, but intellectually consistent isn’t one of them!
