Following reports that Milo Yiannopoulos would be the keynote speaker at CPAC 2017, a bombshell video surfaced of the controversial personality speaking favorably about relationships between younger boys and older men.
And it was more than enough to draw in a “horrified” Jake Tapper.
Released by the conservative media group The Reagan Battalion, the video captured Yiannopoulus discussing pedophilia during an interview.

âWe get hung up on this sort of child abuse stuff to the point where we are heavily policing consensual adults,â he is heard saying.
âIn the homosexual world, particularly, some of those relationships between younger boys and older men â the sort of âcoming of ageâ relationship â those relationships in which those older men help those young boys discover who they are and give them security and safety and provide them with love and a reliable, sort of rock, where they canât speak to their parents,â Yiannopoulos added.
A person off camera is the heard saying, âIt sounds like Catholic priest molestation to me.â
âBut you know what? Iâm grateful for Father Michael. I wouldnât give nearly such good head if it wasnât for him,â Yiannopoulos replied.
A second, longer video was also released:

Matt Schlapp, chairman of the American Conservative Union, which hosts CPAC, defended having Yiannopoulos speak at the upcoming event while taking with The Hollywood Reporter, which first reported that the alt-right personality was tapped as the keynote.
âAn epidemic of speech suppression has taken over college campuses,â Schlapp told The Hollywood Reporter. âMilo has exposed their liberal thuggery and we think free speech includes hearing Miloâs important perspective.â
The flamboyant right-wing British provocateur was quick to respond, taking to social media to say the release of the video is part of a coordinated effort by establishment Republicans to discredit him.
In a detailed follow up to an earlier Facebook post, Yiannopoulos clarified his stance on pedophilia while acknowledging he did “joke about giving better head as a result of clerical sexual abuse committed against me when I was a teen.”
“I do not support pedophilia. Period. It is a vile and disgusting crime, perhaps the very worst,” he said on Facebook. “There are selectively edited videos doing the rounds, as part of a co-ordinated effort to discredit me from establishment Republicans, that suggest I am soft on the subject.
Yiannopoulos’ earlier post can be seen here:
Of all people to weigh in on the matter, CNN’s Jake Tapper did, going on an exhaustive Twitter rant after acknowledging that a friend had been sexually abused as a child.
Friend of mine, conservative, could not be more distraught by this Milo tape. Was molested as a child. Horrified.

My friend, a survivor of sex trafficking: “Milo straight up defended abusing 13 yr old boys…Please don’t let that be normalized”
â Jake Tapper (@jaketapper) February 20, 2017
More from survivor of sex trafficking: “Please please please don’t let that mess he said go away.”
How on earth can CPAC defend this?
â Jake Tapper (@jaketapper) February 20, 2017
Was planning on ignoring for the most part, for those saying “stop publicizing him.” But friend reached out & pled w me to say something

And sometimes that’s what journalists do – give voice to the voiceless. In this case, a survivor of sex trafficking HORRIFIED by Milo.

Preying on children is the definition of evil. Justifying it in any way is sick and disturbing.
Has everyone lost their minds?
