In what may be seen as rubbing salt in an open wound, Donald Trump said he will hang a panoramic portrait depicting the turnout at Friday’s inauguration in the White House press hall.
Taking it a step further, President Donald Trump also tweeted the photo, taken by Washington-based photographer Abbas Shirmohammadi, along with the caption: “A photo delivered yesterday that will be displayed in the upper/lower press hall. Thank you Abbas!”

Upon closer look, there is something wrong with the photo — and it’s not the size of the crowd.
In response to Trump’s tweet, NBC News senior news editor Bradd Jaffy noted that the photo incorrectly showed a date of January 21, the day after Trump was sworn in.
Jaffy was quick to point out that Jan. 21 was the day of the large feminist anti-Trump march on Washington.

The tweet is already stirring up controversy. As it turns out Abbas, who is known for his Presidential inauguration photos is also an Iranian-born immigrant who reportedly worked for Hillary Clinton. Many on Twitter have suspicions that the wrong date was more than just an innocent typo.
@RyanLizza What’s the statement here? The photographer, Abbas Shirmohammadi, is an Iranian immigrant.

@EmyBemy2 Got to wonder if Abbas Shirmohammadi did this intentionally.

No kidding. It sounds like he might have some explaining to do. So far, Abbas has not admitted to any intentional wrongdoing.

Meanwhile, the Trump White House has been engaged in a back and forth with the media over the size of the crowd at Friday’s ceremony.
The president’s spokesman, Sean Spicer, held a jaw-dropping press briefing Saturday to admonish journalists for what he felt was dishonest reporting.
“This was the largest audience to ever witness an inauguration — period. Both in person and around the globe,” Spicer claimed at the time.
