Reince Priebus, incoming chief of staff for President-elect Donald Trump, said that while Democrats are doing everything they can to de-legitimize the outcome of the election, he believes Trump “accepts the findings” of the U.S. intelligence report on Russian intervention.
“I think he accepts the finding,” Priebus said in an appearance on Fox News Sunday. “He’s not denying entities in Russia are behind these particular hackings.”

He added that the intelligence reports are being spun for political purposes by some and called for more transparency from the intelligence agencies on what did happen.

Priebus said true or not, there is no evidence that the outcome of the presidential election was altered by the Russians.
He dismissed as “insane,” a suggestion by White House press secretary Josh Earnest that there was some connection between the Trump campaign and the Russian hacking efforts.
Priebus blamed Democrats for allowing their emails to be hacked, saying the FBI warned the Democratic National Committee, which is consistent with a comment Trump made Friday on social media about the DNC’s “gross negligence” enabled Russia’s efforts.
“We have a DNC as a sitting duck,” he said. “They lacked defenses. They lacked training. They allowed foreign governments into their system.”
