After enourmous outrage from social media, hate crime charges have been filed.
Uproar, shock and anger filled social media Wednesday night when video went viral of a teen being beaten and tortured by four Chicago area teens and one 24-year-old. The thugs were yelling ‘f**k Donald Trump” and “F**k white people” during the kidnapping that lastest somewhere between 24 and 48 hours.

NBC Chicago reported on Thursday:
Jordan Hill, 18, of Carpentersville; Tesfaye Cooper, 18, of Chicago; Brittany Covington, 18, of Chicago; and Tanishia Covington, 24, of Chicago, were each charged with aggravated kidnapping, hate crime, aggravated unlawful restraint and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. Hill, Cooper and Brittany Covington also face charges of residential burglary. Hill was also charged with robbery.
The two men and two women were taken into custody Wednesday after being seen violently beating a teenager on Facebook Live. The suspects are black and the victim is white, and one of the suspects suspects allegedly yelled profanities about white people and President-elect Donald Trump during the attack.
Chicago Police Supt. Eddie Johnson called the act “sickening.”
“It makes you wonder what would make individuals treat somebody like that,” he said.
The grandmother of the teen who was kidnapped spoke to NBC Chicago.
“I just can’t believe anybody would do that to someone, especially a special needs child,” she told NBC 5.
“This is going to affect him for probably the rest of his life.”
