Shut up and sing the damn song!
Iconic rocker Bruce Springsteen continues to rail on President-elect Donald Trump, alienating millions of fans who’ve spent their hard earned money making the recording artist a bazillionaire.
…and providing him with the platform he’s now abusing.
In a recent episode of Marc Maron’s “WTF” podcast, “The Boss” lashed out at Trump with renewed vigor, questioning his competence, dismissing his policy ideas as “lies”… and insulting millions of Americans who voted for him.

“I’ve felt disgust before, but never the kind of fear that you feel now,” Springsteen said. “It’s as simple as the fear of, is someone simply competent enough to do this particular job? Do they simply have the pure competence to be put in the position of such responsibility?”

Springsteen dismissed Trump’s “very powerful and simple ideas” as little more than “lies”… that gullible Americans fell for.
“I mean they’re lies, they can’t occur,” he insisted. “But if you’ve struggled for the past 30 or 40 years … and somebody comes along and offers you something else, particularly after you feel you’ve been failed by the two parties, it’s a compelling choice.”
“It just appeals to your worst angels and under certain circumstances, enough people went for it. Not a majority, but enough,” Springsteen said.
Channeling his inner-social justice warrior, Springsteen wasn’t finished with Trump supporters.
While saying “plenty of good, solid folks” voted for Trump, he expressed serious concern about others.
“When you let that genie out of the bottle — bigotry, racism, intolerance… they don’t go back in the bottle that easily if they go back in at all,” Springsteen said.
“Whether it’s a rise in hate crimes, people feeling they have license to speak and behave in ways that previously were considered un-American and are un-American,” the rocker continued. That’s what he’s appealing to. My fears are that those things find a place in ordinary, civil society.”
