Insecure Obama tries to one-up Trump: WH touts HIS ‘meaningful’ use of internet to engage Americans

With just over three weeks remaining in office, the White House Twitter feed is busy in its efforts to help secure President Barack Obama’s legacy, posting an interesting tweet on Monday touting the president’s use of the internet.

“ICYMI: As President, has used the internet to engage with the American people in new & meaningful ways,” the tweet reads.

Included with the tweet was a photo of Obama with YouTube sensation GloZell, green lipstick and all:

GloZell was granted an interview with the president last year, which came after her infamous “bathtub cereal challenge.”

As for who best uses the internet “to engage with the American people,” Baltimore Sun media critic David Zurawik was singing President-elect Donald Trump’s praises Monday night on Fox News’ “The Kelly File.”

“He has a model, between television and social media,” Zurawik told host Megyn Kelly. “He found this sweet spot in this era of transition.

“He can use TV great when he does live TV and he casts this voice — a 70-year-old man with the perfect voice on Twitter, it’s snarky, it’s nasty and it’s ugly… and it resonates!”

Here’s a sampling of responses to the White House tweet from Twitter:
