Trump’s new nickname for old opponent didn’t sit well; return shots were fired!

While reminiscing about his success on election night at a rally Friday in Orlando, President-elect Donald Trump talked about winning Utah over “this character nobody ever saw before” — a clear reference to Independent challenger Evan McMullin, who was polling well at the time.

Someone in the crowd called out the name “Evan McMuffin,” which caused Trump to pause.

“That’s correct, that’s his name,” he said.

“He said Evan McMuffin, do you believe this?” Trump said to those who may not have heard the man. “I never heard of this guy before. Nobody did. And the polls said he’s even with Donald Trump.”

It didn’t take long for McMullin to respond with a dig of his own against Trump Grille, which was a recent target of a harsh review by Vanity Fair:
