Clinton’s holiday party like ‘a wake with a band,’ according to guest

After noting on Friday that a “dejected, defeated and glum lookingHillary Clinton showed up Thursday night at the Plaza Hotel in New York City for an event with top-tier donors, a source at the hotel backed up BizPac Review’s assessment, describing the holiday party as “a wake.”

“It was like a wake with a band,” a Plaza guest told the New York Post.

Along with high-level Democratic rainmakers, Clinton was joined by husband Bill, daughter Chelsea and her husband, Marc Mezvinsky, along with close Clinton aides John Podesta and Robby Mook.

And, yes, despite recent rumors of discord, Hillary’s longtime right-hand woman Huma Abedin was also on hand for a little healing.

“It was a little bit of group therapy and a lot of love,” the source added.

A Hillary Clinton backer told the Post the event effectively put the final nail in the coffin of the now-former candidate’s presidential aspirations.

“No one has any illusion of ‘the band coming back together again,’ but it did bring a sense of closure,” the supporter said.

But the source forewarned of a new mission, though details were scarce.

“There was a spirit of, ‘We have taken the last eight years for granted’ … But people did walk out of there with a mission,” the individual said.
