Angry parents packed a Texas school board meeting fighting to keep Christ in Christmas.

The fight began when officials banned an employee’s Christmas display that included a homemade poster of Linus from “A Charlie Brown Christmas, because the school principal feared it would offend non Christian students,” the Dallas Morning News reported.
The poster included Linus’ biblical quote from the Christmas classic and was hung on the door of clinic aide Dedra Shannon.

Among those outraged was Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton who wrote to the school board in favor of the poster.

Unfortunately, it was to no avail as the board voted six to one to keep the poster off of Shannon’s door, according to the News.

The decision comes the same week that another Scrooge in Texas went to a local shopping mall and told children that Santa Claus isn’t real as they waited on line to sit on his lap.
