In what ought to be a surprise to no one, Hollywood’s left have chimed in to support the cast of Hamilton after one of its lead actors lectured Vice President-elect Mike Pence on Friday.
Chrissy Teigen, the wife of singer John Legend, was one of the most vocal and she his since changed her Twitter account to “protected” mode so that non-followers can not see her tweets.
Her husband wasn’t far behind with his own thoughts.
If #boycotthamilton goes like #boycottbeyonce I’m gonna start #boycottjohnlegend. Shit seems lucrative.

They were joined by a veritable hodgepodge of liberal elites who seem to be unable to get over the fact that all of their endorsements did nothing for Hillary Clinton.
For everyone who is going to #BoycottHamilton my family, friends, & I will fall on the sword & take your tickets. #wegotyou

You know what? I support #BoycottHamilton. I hope it intensifies — especially during the first week of March, maybe that Sunday matinee?

Omg #boycotthamilton is a thing. As if it’s not sold out for the next two years

Ok, #BoycottHamilton, a sold out show, and protest at Starbucks by buying Starbucks. You guys bristle at accusations of being stupid, but…
— Matt Braunger (@Braunger) November 19, 2016
#BoycottHamilton? Good luck with that. Tickets are already sold-out past President-elect Troll’s impeachment.

If #boycotthamilton goes anything like the @Starbucks “boycott”, I think Hamilton can expect a lot of ticket sales ?https://t.co/poHCo5xQnp

1) The audience booed, not the cast. 2) Brandon (cast) told them NOT to boo. Addressed VP as, “sir.” Nice spin, though. Way to gin it up. https://t.co/9uG7kM5CA8

#hamiltonmusical cast spoke to the VP elect eloquently, respectfully, and from the heart. @realDonaldTrump obviously you didn’t see the tape

Meanwhile, George Takei apparently thinks there is a Trump administration in power now.
AMERICA must always be a safe and special place. The Trump administration has been very cruel to many good people. Apologize! https://t.co/ndavyD3su6
— George Takei (@GeorgeTakei) November 19, 2016
Waaaa! The mean Hamilton cast spoke out politely and respectfully to Pence! Waaaa! Now the right is boycotting a sold out show! #HaGoodLuck
— George Takei (@GeorgeTakei) November 19, 2016
And Kerry Washington thought the disrespectful public bullying of Pence was “well said.”
Well said @BrandonVDixon ?? WELL SAID. We The People. Amen. #Hamilton https://t.co/RdcyhzJIW0

That was a day after she tweeted this.
Important resources.??#NoBullying https://t.co/wQW5dC6Qyh
