A Florida mall Santa Claus was fired because a Hillary Clinton-supporting parent was offended that he jokingly put the former Democrat presidential candidate on the “naughty list.”
The Seminole Town Center Santa was let go after the mom complained to management after, she said, he told her daughter she was on his “nice list” but Clinton was on his “naughty list” and laughed, WKMG-TV reported.
The woman wrote in a Facebook post that she, and her young daughter, both supported Clinton in the presidential election.
Charlie Russell, a spokesman for the now unemployed Santa’s former employer, Noerr Programs, apologized to the woman and, not only fired the Santa, but sent him to counseling in human resources, WKMG-TV reported.
Russell said he did not know if the Santa would return to the mall.
