Liberals refuse to admit defeat, despite the fact that Hillary Clinton was handed a massive loss on November 8th. Still, this isn’t preventing them from using every trick in the book to prevent Donald Trump from entering the White House.
One of those tricks apparently includes harassing their state’s presidential electors, insisting they disregard the will of the voters and make Clinton our President instead.
This desperate plea is part of a last-ditch attempt to overturn the results of an election where it was made clear that America does not want another Clinton (specifically one as corrupt and conniving as Hillary) as our leader.
While The Arizona Republic is reporting that this move would be totally legal as the electors have no obligation to vote for the recipient of their electoral college votes, Robert Graham, chairman of the Arizona Republican Party and elector, is claiming that the bombardment of emails, phone calls and letters is “total harassment.”
Another elector, Bruce Ash, reported being harassed by callers mocking him as being a “homophobe,” an “isolationist” and the left’s favorite insult, a “bigot.” Some have even called him anti-Semitic, which Ash says is interesting because he’s Jewish.
If this doesn’t work, the left is calling for the complete destruction of the electoral college system, which would unfairly benefit largely blue states like California and New York. Outgoing Senator Barbara Boxer introduced legislation to abolish the electoral college.
Liberals claim that it’s not “fair” for a person to be able to win the popular vote but not the election, and of course, everything has to be fair.
What’s not fair is having 2 out of 50 states pick our President, with no input from anyone who might live a completely different lifestyle from those in the most heavily populated cities.
Maybe leftists should follow President Obama’s advice and not “break what our predecessors spent over two centuries building.” After all, “[t]hat’s not being faithful to what this country’s about.”
