High drama when ABC’s Martha Raddatz appears to cry while talking about President Elect Trump

Suffice it to say that few in the media were thrilled with Donald Trump being elected president.

…though most hid their disappointment better than ABC News’ Martha Raddatz.

As it started to become clear Tuesday night that Trump was about to pull off a monumental upset, the talking heads at ABC News were discussing how a Trump presidency would impact the military and Raddatz appeared to be struggling to choke back her emotions.

This coming from a journalist who was one of the 2016 debate moderators.

“Donald Trump, I questioned what he would do about Syria and his understanding of military policy and civilian/military divide, I don’t know that he really has a plan for what he’s going to do there,” Raddatz said.

Her voice then began breaking up as she noted that Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Kaine, who has a son in the Marine Corps, said he wouldn’t trust Trump as commander-in-chief.

“That’s a pretty extreme thing to say; if you have a son in the Marine Corps, and that you don’t trust the commander-in-chief” Raddatz said as she began to well up.
