Megyn Kelly and Donald Trump have certainly had their issues this campaign, but at least the Republican nominee came on her show. The fact that Hillary Clinton has refused to do the same drew Kelly’s sharp criticism during an in interview with Democratic operative Lanny Davis on Friday night.
The pair were discussing Davis’s Wikileaks revealed email to Clinton campaign manager John Podesta which encouraged Clinton to sit down with Kelly in what he thought would be a “tough but fair” interview. When Davis told her that Hillary would have done “great, hit home runs, in my opinion, every question you asked,” Kelly was having none of it.
“I’ve always said, listen, she can handle me. The bottom line is, honestly, she was too chicken to come on,” the Fox News host said. “I’ve asked for months and months through everybody possible. Why else would she not come?

“She’s trying to pin herself as some champion of women, and what does she do?” Kelly continued. “She doesn’t even sit down with one of the top female journalists in the country, at least… One of the only two women in all of primetime in cable news, pretended that we didn’t exist, told us over and over again, ‘Wait until the general, wait until the general, wait until this, wait until that’… Never came. That’s the truth.”
Davis then made excuses, saying at that point the campaign was taking a “more conservative approach.”
In other words, chicken…
Kelly finished the interview by giving kudos to Trump, despite their differences.
“Even Trump, who was very unhappy about that debate, wound up sitting down with me and gave me a long interview. Hillary, never.”
