Bill’s ‘mistress’ the Secret Service named ‘Energizer’ had Hillary’s inner circle scrambling

Among the Wikileaks email dump is an exchange between Hillary Clinton campaign chair John Podesta and Cheryl Mills about a Daily Mail article discussing the identity of “Energizer,” an alleged Bill Clinton mistress.

The piece was published by journalist Tom Leonard in 2014, and it named blonde socialite Julie McMahon as the infamous “Energizer,” a name that was used by the Secret Service agents who hustled the woman to and from the Clinton home.

Mills sent a link to the story to Podesta in an email with the subject line reading “Who is the ‘Energiser’ who has been Clinton’s secret lover? via MailOnline.” Podesta replied, “Well, they sure managed to get every name into one story, I guess you got to give them credit for that.”

But this cavalier shrug-off wasn’t the end of the discussion.

Later that year, in December, the topic was brought up again, and another email exchange took place under the subject “Julie.” Podesta wrote “Saw her pic in this or last week’s Enquirer. Probably need to revisit our Whitehaven conversation.” Mills simply replied “k.”

“Whitehaven” is the name of the Clinton’s home in Washington D.C.

While the socialite has adamantly denied the affair, Ron Kessler’s book The First Family Detail: Secret Service Agents Reveal the Hidden Lives of Presidents reveals that she earned the nickname “Energizer” because of the way that Bill seemed to be reinvigorated after her visits.
